Dissapearing Coolant.....

Like the title says....i've notice over the past couple of months that the coolant level in my degas bottle has dropped about half an inch. There is no residue around the cap, no leaks (that i can see), and I'm running the stock tune (i have an X2 with Spartan Tunes but i'm waiting to install my gauges.) so is this normal?? if not....wth is it going??

check for signs of HG failure. ie...water in oil, oil in water. maybe remove the EGR and see if there is any coolant in the intake

well i just had my bedplate replaced but before that, they tested for HG failure and everything checked out ok. would they remove the heads to do the bedplate and if so...is it possible to foul up the re-installation and screw up the HG's?

I have the same problem, started back around January, I can't figure it out. My oil is fine (had it tested with Blackstone), I pulled the EGR and didn't see anything wet in the orifice, I don't see anything leaking or dripping. This one is very puzzling for me.

I seem to have the same problem. I have had the HG checked twice, coolant system pressure checked but the coolant is going some where and nobody seems to know where.

The leak rate you describe seems so slow that you would not see any puddles - maybe not even wet areas. The leak could be from the degas bottle cap. They came out w/ a new one not long ago. It is a cheap thing to try. Other than that, if you are not seeing any smoke, it just might be a very slow leak from one of the hoses.
