All the hole needs is a little chamfering and WD-40. ;)

The diaphram hardens up, and there ain't much of it to begin with..
..due to the large round piece of metal used for the coil spring to rest against.
Personally never had a problem with that part on my vehicle, but
then I'm always messing with it tho. :)

Took my share of old Motorcraft carbs apart to find the pump
diaphragm cracked tho. I used to grab everyone I could find at the
scrap yard, some looked like new some looked like they'd been
found on the ground somewhere and brought in for scrap.

Thanks for those part numbers ND. i used to have a 71ltd with a 400. sweet ride but it sure wasnt winning any races.
