Does anyone KNOW if the carbs are different based on engine size such as 390 versus 360? Are jet sizes different? My 390 has a little lean surge and carb was originally for a 360.
The Ford Shop manual will have the specific carburetor venturi size, booster, jets and power valve size for your engine as from the factory. After all this time there's no telling what's on there or what has been done to it so you'll have to check. A f100 autolite say had #52 for a 360, where as say model Custom f250 360 was jetted with #54. Then a f250 C/S was jetted with #57 with having a 360/390. Then possible change Carb size whit jetting
