I was working on my 97 f250 460 when I cracked the EGR tube. I got a new one and egr valve, but when I went to change it, the fitting broke in half. This fitting is on the driver's exhaust manifold. it loos like it was just soldered together in the first place. The is still a piece in the manifold. I think it threads in and out, but I cant get it to move, and I was wondering if it was threaded or pressed in some other way. thanks
As far as I know, the EGR fittings on the 460s are threaded in. They are harder than hell to get apart. The rust up tight, so try using a lot of PB Blaster and a big breaker-bar to get it off, if that does not work, there is one more option. When I put the headers on my 351, I could not get the EGR tube fitting out of the manifold to install in my headers. I ended up having to cherry it up with a torch and then dunk it in water. Good luck.
I just put Ford Racing (Stainless Steel) headers on my 1994 F-250 4WD, 5.8L. The secondary air tubes and EGR tube use the same fittings that I bought new from my local Ford Dealer last week. The part # is F0TZ9F485A which is called a "connector". They retail for a little over $13.00 apiece. It might be the fitting you are looking for.
