Anemometer recommendations needed
I am moving in a few weeks to a piece of land that is begging for some sort of wind power. I would like to see what kind of power I can expect since it'll take me a while to build everything needed. I'd like to get one that is a remote mount, either wired or wireless, the only functions I need are wind speed, maybe direction, and some sort of datalogging. Even a simple program that samples speed hourly and either charts it or offers some sort of readout so I can chart it.
I know these sort of systems exist, but I don't want to get some cheap piece of junk that I'll regret having.

Have you looked into whether the information you are looking for is already available? Is there an airport or weather station within a few miles of the new place? Even if it is more than a few miles away, as long as it is within the same geographic and topographic area, the data should be pretty valid for what you are looking at.....no sense reinventing the wheel. You may even be able to find some climatological data for the region that would be pretty helpful.
