So my truck keeps getting more and more added to the comm equipment and I am out of room. I have seen the posts of using the lower dash/console out of an F650 and have wondered, can I fit 3 radios in that? No? OK...then I am looking for suggestions...I don't mind paying a couple of hundred if it is a clean fit. I just don't want something that looks like it came from a hack shop. It still is my rig and I drive it alot. So what I would like to find, if the F650 console won't work, is a floor mount, (I have ESOF so no floor shifter for the 4x4), that is black and will hold 3 radios, and a bank of switches. This way I can free up the lower dash and not keep trying to figure out where I can fit another unit. All 3 units are single DIN size so there isn't anything odd size. And these 3 units don't include my stereo or my CB, (In-dash install).
Have you looked at the police stores? My father's SO truck has a console that replaced the middle seat, it has an arm rest, 800MHz, VHF and light bar control panel with room for another bank or two. It's pretty modular in nature, so you could fit it between the dash and seat.
I like that....but the link you posted....no go. Seems Galls is having issues. I even went to their site and looked it up myself but the console page isn't working.
try starting fresh at galls.com. I just went through on firefox without a problem, but they may have a session cookie that requires starting at the beginning.
THANKS!!! I like that set up.... BUt as always....to get what you want you have to give up something...looks like the cup holders go away. If I cant find anything lower in price I may have to go with that one. More than I really wanted to spend but if I dont have a choice, then so be it.
I don't see why you couldn't get a set of (F250 crew cab) rear seat cup holders or other cup holders and bolt them to that panel. The superduty rears have a keyed slot, you could use a carriage bolt through the panel to make up this key pretty easily.
