4R44E Trans Problems

So after i swapped the 3.0 in my ranger, i finally got a chance to take it out last weekend and of course i had a problem. About 5mi down the road, my o/d light started flashing. And after reading up on here, i found out that either my trans has taken a crap or its something else. Before the light comes on, everything is fine. Reverse works, shifts through the gears just fine. Then once the light comes on, it starts shifting really hard. Checked for codes, and had nothing. Changed the trans fluid and filter today, wasnt burnt but it was kind of dark. And i was talking to the girlie the other day and she said it could be a sensor since her 96 did the same thiing a year or so ago. So does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

If the OD light is flashing there is a code, its in there somewhere, it will be the key to fixing the transmission. Make sure you check all external electrical connections.
