I can't see ebay from the office, but chances are they're not legal.
Do they include new projector casings that are DOT approved for HID? If not, then it's not a legal kit.
A ton of people use these and never have a problem, but it only takes one cop or one state inspection that catches it to cause you a world of trouble.
EDIT: If the lenses don't have a DOT number on them, they aren't approved. Companies that spend the money and time to get approval usually make it a huge selling point. Don't trust what anyone says, look for the DOT approval right on the hardware.
From the pictures the lenses appear to have SAE and DOT stamps on them, so the LENSES ONLY should be ok. The bulbs on the other hand are most definately not legal, for one reason, it eliminates the high beam. Typically the bright colored flashy ads that have pictures of cars headlights with unusual colors superimposed on them, are not a good idea. From what I understand, if a vehicle did not originally have HID', and was not available from the factory with HID's and retrofitted with the OEM parts, then it is not legal to have them. (No 91-96 F-series truck was available with HID's from the factory)
Those light housings would not be good for H.I.D. due to the fact that they do not have the light reflector (the little cap over the hole for the bulb) to redirect the light to the main reflector of the housing. This allows light to come directly out the front of the bulb (yes I know that the bulb has a reflective tip to do this.) and can be very blinding to other drivers. Therefor the housing may not be D.O.T. certified. Keep looking, there are other light housings on there that are D.O.T. I got mine off of Ebay and used the Sylvania silverstar bulbs and am very happy with the light pattern and output.
Damn ive been wanting crystal clear headlights and I already have HIDs in my stockers. Thats a good deal. Paid $88 for my HID kit and the headlights I want are like $120.
Ive had my HIDs for a while and have never been flashed or pulled over. I love them. Going to buy HID fogs too.
my plan is to get the crystal headlights and get some HID fog lights just becasue i have driven many many cars with them and they are a world o difference

Yea I drove my moms Toyota Avalon with HIDs and had to have them.

as long as you angle the lights down a little when you put HIDs you shouldnt have a problem as well as sticking aroudn 6k temp range. Its when you get up in the 8K plus( blue to purple colors) that cops as well as other people start giving you a hard time about it.
yeah im just gunna nix the idea of hem, the cops round here dont got **** to do and they are already watchin my *** as it is, (my dad knows like all of the cops), so i could get by with then but they would more than likely be pullin me over till i get em changed, so im gunna go for just HID fog lights when i get the money
i kinda figured they werent legal, too bad i like the hid style of lights, and yeah i noticed there was no deflector
so what hallogen lights are a good aftermarket light, i have silverstars in now and they are amazing till it rains, they may as well be burnt out
Aftermarket and/or retrofitted HID is illegal just about everywhere.
I don't know how many times vehicles with retro fitted HID have blinded me from their glare.
Also, if one burns out you may have to special order the part to fix it.
I hate HID lights. Our 2003 Maxima has them factory, and I wish I could convert it back to halogen.
Any of the whitish colored lights HID or not suck in the rain and bad weather. They also produce false colors.
Stay away from all the cheapo tinted bulbs on ebay. Also Silverstar are tinted or coated bulbs. All this does is filter the light and actually reduce the amount of light emitted from the bulb.
Your best off getting a good pair of halogen bulbs like GE Nighthawk (NOT SPORT), Sylvania Xtravision or any other plus 20% or 30% non tinted bulb. Phillips vision plus is also one of them I think.
Also, the factory style headlight housing/lense is the best choice for properly aiming the beam and will result in the most light on the road provided they are clear and not all fogged up or yellowed. Those euro lenses are not great for focusing the beam. Several members of FTE have said this is the case with those cheapo lenses.
You should also get a relay harness. This will allow full voltage to reach the bulbs and will also save your headlight switch from carrying the load of the lights.
LMC has a headlight relay harness for 87-91 9004 bulb and 92-96 9007 bulb.
There are some more in depth threads on this subject. Try doing a search.
This is just an interesting note. I have read articles that some people from different auto makers have said that HID is actually something that never should have made its way to the automotive industry.
