G-day people its Ando here from Down under Perth Australia ,i have got a dual cab F-250 love it to death, but she is playing up on the long trips my cruise control engages the green light comes on and then at different time periods it drops out and the cruise control shuts off, now down here in perth we lack good f-truck mechanics so as you can imagine iam having trouble finding the info i need so iam sure out there in f-truck land someone must have had this happen to them as well ,so if anyone has any ideas it will be muchly appreiciated good on ya veiwers and take care out there regards Ando.
What year is it? there was an issue with the brake pressure sensor in the master cylinder. If the sensor is shorting out it will kick the cruise control off. The same could be with the brake pedal switch. The vss should be able to do it as well, if it goes out of the cruise control's adjustable range, but you see an ABS light the speedometer acting up if it was failing.

Cheers bloke that makes alot off sense and rthat is where i will start i have seen the ABS light come on before so what do you suggest i do have the brake master cylinder checked first the brakes have been a bit soft lately ?
I think 99-05 had a twitchy brake pressure sensor that would fail and leak. Leaking from the pressure port could cause your brakes to feel mushy, I would definitely replace it if your in doubt, as it caused a few trucks to burn to the ground. This could also trip the ABS light.

Is the pressure sensor a seperate electrical peice or is it part of the master cylinder i may be stabbing in the dark here but does anyone know the part number of the sensor as you can imagine ford parts here in Oz are expensive so i wil try and source it in the states and get it sent over its much cheaper ?.
