I uderstand it was wrong, but it did work. Had we had more time the brakes would have been fixed, but as it stood we needed to move. I belive with the breaks in working order and the truck in good condition, conservitive driveing and you can get it done. My truck is a desil though so its a little different. For me to help a friend i would do it in a hart beat, as for a bussiness. I might start out doing it knowing its just for the short term tell I could do something better. I hear the f550 has a option for a cat desil. that would be what I would prefer.

The engine isn't the issue. The issue is braking and towing stability. In texas vehicle that are over 20k total weight fall into d.o.t. And that is a territory where the texas dps will give it to you with out the lube. Seriously though a diesel superduty a v10 or a 5.4 could do the job it is a little out of the weight range to do it safely. If you are in a accident a personal injury lawyer could really do some damage to you in the $$$$ pocket book
You can get a 7.2 CAT diesel in a 650. Those things are absolute beasts. Funny enough, the standard engine in a 650 is the 6.7 Cummins. I couldn't find the GCWR for a 650, but that would definitely be more in line with what is needed here. Attempting to tow that kind of weight with anything less would be flat out dangerous.
go rent the right size truck till trhe money starts to roll in ....but dont haul that heavy you gotta be able to stop and there is allways gonna be idiots
