HPOP reservior, where exactley is that located?
Ive never really messed with the HPOP before.
Do you guys think FORD will have the black CPS or do you think ill have to find one online?
there is an allen head plug on the top be careful not to lose it! open it up and look down, if you cant see the oil then top it off. it should be within an inch from the bottom of the threads. if you cant open the plug i have been known to fill through the sensor hole on the other side of the top of the cover!
Thanks man, i sorta figured it was that plug. just wanted to make for sure.
I went ahead and got a new CPS as well ($22).
Ill let you guys know what happens, keep your fingers crossed.
Update: Check HPOP oil is full; Installed new CPS; Installed new fuse 22 and unplugged fuel heater; Put new fuel filter in and checked to see if fuel bowl was filling and it is.
Still the same thing, sounds like its just about to start but wont!
Has the GPR been ruled out because it was replaced last summer? Was it a loud backfire, or a misfire? The one thread I found on another forum they talked about the GPR causing backfires when they are bad/failing?

I did the arch test and, there is an arch but still not starting.
Im thinking maybe the wiring, last summer everyonce and a while when i would start it, it would start but have no power and sound like only a few of the injectors were firing. I would shut it off and start it again and all was fine. A few weeks later i was coming home from the lake and suddenly lost power, it would still be running but i could have pushed it faster than it was moving. I found the bad spot (or so i thought) the plug that gos into the valve cover off the main wiring harness, cut the plug off and put on a new plug. Everythings been fine since Sept.
The other morning when i started it, it started that same way, i shut it off and all was fine until the next day. I had started and stoped 3x and it started fine every time until i was going down the road and it started to lose power and died.
Well I pulled the valve covers just to make sure the wires in there looked ok, and its all fine looking in there.
I guess next is a new wiring harness under the hood.
Unless anybody has anyother ideas???
