BUT there is clean rotella in there now! plus once i determined which way was "leftie", i won the battle against the old filter even though it took longer than i care to admit to get the !@#$ thing loose. decided "clockwise" and "counterclockwise" work better for me lol
My driveway is nearly a half mile long and what I do is park over any spot that weeds are trying to grow in when I change oil. I still catch all I can in a bucket but if some falls on the weeds then that's less roundup I need to spend money on.
It's kinda like a homemade blacktop. Awfully redneck I know but it works.

If the item you're working with is right hand threaded:
Lift your right hand up put your fingers out staight and raise your thumb like your giving someone a thumbs up, but with your fingers out straight. then curl your fingers in the direction you want to turn the bolt/screw/whatever. the direction that your thumb is pointing this what the item will do.
If the item you're working with is left hand threaded:
Do the same proceedure with your left hand.

Used oil or old gasoline... been doing it as long as I can remember too (but I'm a youngster )
If you are you're probably still outside cleaning the mess up!! If it were me, throw some floor dry down and check in 2 days. Although I am no doctor, that is my prescription.
Oil is the best weed killer.
Doing it on the dirt part of the driveway is good too. Keeps the dust down when the oil soaks into the dirt.
Hardens right up really good.
And here I thought you were a Truck girl!!!! Can the 2 go together??
suuuure they do lol...i recycle all that old oil and the containers and she's so much more efficient than a comparable gasser. it's like multiple personalities...? *shrugs*
