Hey everyone, new to the forum. I have a 89 f150 with a 300 and 5 speed, well something has happened, in order to start it the clutch pedel has had to go farther and farther before it cranks, now you have to stand with all your weight to get it to start. I replaced the switch and that made no difference. Any advice???
Check around the firewall where the master cyl mounts for cracking/flexing and also check the pedal pivot for wear.
If the firewall is flexing there is a repair plate you can get.
However I would advise you to scroll up from here on the main page and you will come to the `87-`96 F Series page. I would post this problem there and you will get plenty of help. But check out what I said.
Hope this helps.
