I'd like to know too. The shop that's doing the work is going at a really slow pace, which is good for both of us...I pay only a little at a time, making it easier for me. I expect it to be put together in December.
I wish I could find the link, but there was a picture on here somewhere of someone who put the same Skyjacker kit on their high boy, and it lifted it 4", so I hope that's what happens. If not, I like the stock high boy ride height, and just want the tires not to interfere with steering. We'll see...
where you from and what shop are you using? i am wanting to do similar stuff but having trouble finding a shop that knows what they are doing and who wants to work on old trucks
I'm in CT and was lucky to find, by word of mouth, a shop in Torrington called Wayne's Radiator, Auto, and 4x4 Shop. They have a monster truck on 66's behind the shop, and have done monster truck events as well as other types of truck racing. I've spent hours talking with the guys and so far, give them a total thumbs up.
I was telling them I'd like crossover steering, using a saginaw pump and box, etc., and they knew their stuff really well. He brought me deeper into the shop and said he can put a saginaw pump on there if that's what I want, but showed me a pump he said goes on all racing trucks, and it has an external reservoir, and will turn everything this truck has really easy. Sold, let's do the racing setup.
PS
The Beast looks like a cool truck, what are you looking to have done?
Unless you are joking, please keep that opinion and personal attack off FTE. No place here for it, F350 is giving out advice and I see him taking or stealing nothing on here.
If you have a personal issue to resolve, PM him and fix it, just my 2 cents and thanks
F350 for the SD/shackle lift info.
Been trying to gather all the info off here and the off road & 4x4 forum for a while now, once again nice trucks.
I have a '75 F250 with a 4" SkyJacker lift installed, and 40x13.50/18R on the way. I may need a little more lift....may need a little trimming. What wheel backspacing are you guys using when running bigger tread?
hey 75f350 i was wondering if you couldpost some pictures of the suspension on that red truck
ive been searching on this topic for alittle while now i plan on doing a 8'' skyjacker super duty lift on my 71 crew ive been talking to some forum members in another thread about this swap and they mentioned looking into 75f350's threads seems that he's MIA and hasn't been on the forum in quite some time. so you may be out of luck with getting pics of his suspension try searching for his threads you may find some pics of what you want i found acouple but am after what your looking for to so i have more to go off of.
