Oil Cooler Damage
How do you guys normally test if an oil cooler is bad?
Is there any obvious VISUAL signs that are tell-tale of it having failed?
I do not have an engine oil temp gauge, so I cannot compare the two...It is next on my gadget list....I hear there is a maximum temperature difference reading that the oil and the coolant MUST fall between...anyone know this?
I might be in left field on this one.

its now 15* difference. Used to be 25 then Ford moved it down to 15*. you get the most diffenece in temps after pulling up a hill at 100% load then you will see the temps start changing going back down the other side, let it cost.
