door tag

i just purchased a 1981 F100 Ranger, i'm trying to figure out the door tag.

trans: K = c-6?
axle: 01 = ?

i'm pretty sure its c6 trans, but i cant seem to find the axle info.
I know that its a drum brake 9", but what gears, spline count, etc?

Thanks.

motor is a 300 I-6.

Edit: Sorry, I thought it would be applicable to you..

There is a door tag decoder under articles/specs at the top of every page.

Look under the truck and see if you can find the axle tag there should be one on the front passenger side of the pumpkin. Just post the code on here if you need it decoded.

82-100,
Tip of the Hat to you! I saw that site briefly six months ago while looking up a code for my truck...then didn't save the site for future ref...got it now. Goes to show, "It's not what you know, it's who you know."
Thanks

01 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 2.75-1 / No Limited Slip / 2,800 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

Edit: (sigh) Geez Louise, I just looked at the date in this thread. It was last typed 4/7/2009 until the in post #11 dug it up.
