superchip programmer

I have a chance to buy a superchips programmer from a friends older brother
It is off a 01 7.3and I have a early 99...will it work?
Anything I should look for as far as functions?
He said he paid 400 new and wants 200... very limited use ...he fell asleep and rolled the truck

Thx again
Jim

Alot of times they are VIN locked and you won't be able to use it on another truck. Unless you can get it flashed back.

I'm not sure if it can even be done. I would call superchips to make sure before you spend the money.

You'll have to get Superchips to reflash it, or return the rolled truck back to stock, if thats possible.

You would have to return the rolled truck back to stock in order for it to work on your truck. If I were you I would just save up 300 more dollars and buy myself a DP tuner. It will blow that programmer out of the water.

or he could get at chip from Tony Wildman and blow the superchip outta the water. i should know i used to have a superchip now i got a TS chip tuned by Tony.

If you really want a good chip save your money and do it right the first time.
