Well here are some updates since the day i originally bought the truck.
I went to the Junkyard and bought a set of American racing rims and also put a set of Flowmaster 40 series pipes off each header. Yesterday i upgraded the old spark plugs to Bosch Platinums. Also my dad gave me a toolbox for my birthday which is freakin awesome cause now i can hook up my CB whip and radio.
I went to Autozone and bought some stuff called Never Dull and this stuff is awesome shines the chrome accents right up to where they blind you when reflecting the suns glare. Im picking up a billet grille and getting ready for some dent pulling and bondo. In the mean time here are some updated pics, let me know what you think of the 500$ truck now
ive also got a question about weather stripping. Will it make my doors close more tightly? i have some on there now but its all mashed up and dry rotted also when i go down the road the doors and windows vibrate and drive me nuts. i think the stripping will be coming soon also.
for your doors, check your door striker bolts, they should have a plastic bushing on them, they are usually long gone and just the metal left. the plastic tightens the doors up and makes them close easy. can be found for about 8 bucks a piece in the help section at your local auto parts store.
Along with weather stripping and door strikers, don't forget about the channels on both sides of the glass. A few websites sell anti rattle kits to keep the glass from bouncing around when the window is down, runs about $45 per side. Did you get the exhaust put on at a shop or do it yourself with a pre-fab kit?
