Exclamation DP Tuner before gauges

New member here and i was just curious if i could use the DP Tuner on my truck and put gauges on later im not looking to do any racing or really heavy pulling, nothing over 80e or 60t. Would it be ok to do or should i really install gauges before running the DP Tuner?
Thanks

There's nothing wrong with getting the tuner before gauges but the reason it's recommended to get them first is that the tuner will raise temps a lot faster than stock. Just it's helpful for you to see what's going on and drive the truck accordingly.

BTW, Welcome to FTE.

Welcome to FTE Like Chris said, the temps jump very quickly and better to be safe than sorry. Gauges really aren't that much either... If I can help let me know. I can help you with gauges and the DP

Yes you can until you save up to gauges just don't lug it for a long time or haul a heavy load up a hill in 80E.

Unloaded, I am generally waaay exceeding the speed limit before EGT's become an issue - but I would be very conservative until you know. A little goosing it on to the interstate - OK, hammering it up a long grade - not OK.
