I have run the on-board test with AE, and get a P0476. I have taken out the tube and cleaned it. The previous owner had stripped the nipple connecting to the exhaust manifold, so I had to re-thread it, and put on a new tube. The sensor did not have any soot in it. I have not changed voltages through the sensor yet. I watched what I thought was the linkage for the EBPV and it did not move during KEOR self test. Is the linkage at the back of the turbo by the fire wall? My AE Exhaust Backpressure runs from around 15 at idle to 24 when I rev the engine to redline, volts go from .93 to 1.61; manifold pressure goes from 14.1 to 17.3 respectively. So is my sensor ok? How do I make sure the EBPV is in the open position (truck seems to run fine, not sluggish). Also, I was not getting much heat out of the AC in the winter.
Thanks!
I have seen some pics of the connector you are talking about (I think). If it is a 2 pin connector on the front of the turbo that is clearly visible from the front of the truck it is still connected.
I ran the AE again today and am still getting the code. Does this affect operation, or is it just a random code? It seems like some of the frequent posters indicated that EBPS data is used in fueling, so would this be an issue?
