is the lucas the sythetic stuff or the standard stuff? If it the standard stuff that is your issue!
why would the standard stuff cause an issue? It's supposed to work with both synthetic and standard oils... my dad's '96 powerstroke never had problems running it when he had it 6 years ago
It seems to be idling fine now. Havn't had any issues with it at all today

x2 Lucas is no good for power strokes I would try a defoaming agent for your crankcase $5 bucks for a bottle might help out till your next oil change and save you $60 bucks for another oil change
Yep the standard Lucas will cause aeration of the oil which causes all sorts of driveability issues in the PSD. They make a synthetic lucas that is designed for the PSD. I would change your oil again. If I were a betting man I would bet you the cost of the oil that your idle issue would go away.

Is this the first time you used lucas?
It's the first oil change I've done in this truck since I bought it back in September. I'm still trying to figure things out with it's performance right now as I swapped from a 4.10 dually rear to 3.54 srw. It really doesn't have the pull it used to, especially with 285 tires.
Also noticed that it seems to accelerate faster and have more power at 3/4 throttle than wide open. Any ideas there?

More power at 3/4 than WOT is a sign of HPOP pressures falling off. Also 4.10's will have more pep than 3.55's
What is required to put in a 17* HPOP, and where's the best place to buy one? Also how much would it cost me to put it in?
On your 95 its a little more difficult to put the 17° on due a oil drainback issue. Your best bet would be to call Terminator Engineering and talk to them about a hybrid pump they can build using the 15° case and 17° guts Terminator Engineering
