Family Guy is more adult oriented (most of the time) than the Simpsons. A lot of political humor and controversial stuff, with the occasional flatulence type joke mixed in. They have pop culture and historical tie ins set in flashback scenes.
There is a lot of shock value in the show like "I can't believe they just said that" kind of stuff. It is pretty edgy.

Sometimes if I'm really bored I'll watch south park online. VERY politically incorrect.
But generally, there just aren't any TV shows that I like well enough to tune in regularly for. Tried following BSG for a little while because I like more realistic space battles and some of them are quite good, but they're focusing way too much on drama crap and haven't watched anything in months. I lost patience with TV because all the shows seem to be the same.
If I see the original blues brothers movie on the TV listings, I might tune in for that, but not much else.
Even all the good documentaries seem to be gone. Discovery used to have a nice series called "wings", especually liked "wings of the red star" for showing some planes that I never even heard of before. All gone.....relaced with climate change propaganda.
Oh, wait! I still watch mythbusters.

I got sick of myth busters 90% of the time when they say they disproved a myth they did nothing most of there test are flaud and half the time its not a myth but common since or something already dictated to be true by the laws of physics. I liked the one where they proved it was imposible to shoot a hole in a silver dollar then the profesional trick shooter showed up and shot a hole in several silver dollars.

Yea, I liked that one, sure made them look like the fools they are...
I watched them do one on hitting hammer heads together, they could not get them to shatter, I've had it happen and have the scars to prove it!

I used to watch it all the time, Got tired of it. Some of the things they did were pretty cool, but many were stupid.
But yea what a job!
There is a 2hr Demolition Derby episode coming up, I think Wednesday (today).
I like Deadliest Catch, new season starts next Tuesday.
Mostly I watch techie shows, like How It's Made, Extreme Engineering and things like that, but I rarely sit and watch anything, I am always doing something, I mostly listen.

"how its made" aires in the states? I didn't know that. Its from quebec.
Favorite mythbusters explosions are the cement truck and the hot water boiler.
I like techy shows too, but there just aren't that many of them anymore and most are just reruns.
Dirty jobs is another pretty good one. Like mythbusters, is the crazy characters that make the show more than what they actually do in it (at least for me).
