Torque converter upgrade low stall or not?

I want to upgrade my stock tc and am looking at different tc's that can be 800-1200 low stall below stock. I'm not sure if i want "low stall" or not because i don't know much about it.
I put 35k on my truck a year and am tired of rpms running high all the time and it feels like i'm wasting all the power because the truck isn't accelerating very fast for the rpms with a small trailer. mostly in 2nd gear; once i hit 35 mph the tc locks by itself. I find myself using the tc lockup switch more and more. would i benefit from a low stall tc?

Not sure I would want to put a new torque converter behind an old tired tranny. If the tranny goes, so does your new TQ converter.

thats true. I guess i was assuming it was not the original trans because of the higher miles it had on it when i bought it. So is low stall a good thing or would I not like it for towing or racing? from what I gather it will keep your rpms lower keeping torque in its peak.

Not sure i would put in any torque converter with a 1000-1400RPM stall speed. One- you put it in drive, and it will lurch forward eager to go, and two, it would feel like a dog down low. Not sure anyone here has the power or powerband to make that low of a converter work.
