Torque converter upgrade low stall or not?
I want to upgrade my stock tc and am looking at different tc's that can be 800-1200 low stall below stock. I'm not sure if i want "low stall" or not because i don't know much about it.
I put 35k on my truck a year and am tired of rpms running high all the time and it feels like i'm wasting all the power because the truck isn't accelerating very fast for the rpms with a small trailer. mostly in 2nd gear; once i hit 35 mph the tc locks by itself. I find myself using the tc lockup switch more and more. would i benefit from a low stall tc?
