my 92 ford e-1-50 5.0l 302 it pings when i accelerate i can here it
when its not under load its fine i checked the timing mark is at 10'
do these till use the distributor advance
but it still pings can the egr valve would cause this
can any body tell me if they had the same problems
or fuel octane not right i use 87 octane
start with a check of all you vacuum lines
a leak will cause it run lean and ping under load
be certian to check the PCV valve and the line from the EGR to the manifold
M
i put a vacuum gauge on it to day and read 20Hg normal
when i accelerate give it more gas it start to it not loud but you can hear it pings
i went in got gas to day put 93 octane in it to day but i doubt it it will solve
