Tire size is about 31.6 x 12 i know most aftermarket wheels with 8x170 are not hub centric and i see alot of superduty's running around with them, havent heard of a problem yet.
I'd say you'd need at least a 35" tire to make a 22'' look decent, and at that point it would have to be a black wheel (no pun intended). 22" chrome would look way too large with a black tire surrounding it, but with black wheels, its less vivid.
When you get up in that size wheel, tire prices get outrageous. I don't think that I would go with anything bigger than a 20" wheel. I went with 18" wheels myself, and I got my tires on sale for around $153 per tire but........any tire that I priced before I found that deal was $200 and up per tire. The 20s would only be higher I would guess.
Wow!!! $400 a piece? thats crazy.. I may just have play rims and work rims.. swapping them is not too hard.. or I could be logical and just buy 18s.. but what fun would that be
Get some 19.5 wheels and 285/70/19.5s ( about 34-35 tall) and have some weight capacity when you're towing. Nothing beats a H rated 16 ply tire for hauling a load. and they last forever
22 in rims, humph, next thing you'll want to do is put hydraulics on it so it will bounce around the parking lot.

aren't those super pricey? The tires do last alot longer but I thought a complete set-up is like $4k and up??
Check them out at Ricksons tire. I don't know how they compare to "regular" tires but if they do a better job and last twice as long are they that expensive?

I checked them out.. about $2600 for a set..
$600 a set for my stock tires - average 50k a set.
they would have to last 200k to justify that cost.. still nice tho.
