OASIS report?
It's a low mileage truck (<40k), appears to be well-taken care of. I'm concerned about two things: (a) He lifted it with a 6" lift (done at Les Schwab, somewhere I've heard of but never dealt with first hand) that is a combination FabTech/Revtech lift--something about the FabTech not being a 'true 6" lift' but that he preferred the suspension of it over the Revtech's. I want to make sure this doesn't sound crazy and that it will not effect my towing capacity (too) adversely. (b) He's been running an Edge "super chip" in it (pretty much from the start.) He claims he hasn't done any heavy towing or pushed it too heavily, but the only other engine mods he has done is an exhaust. I was under the impression that running a chip without fixing the head studs (and possibly EGR) was a Bad Thing. He did state that he hasn't had any head problems with it yet ... for what that's worth.
I'm trying to find a low mileage Excursion Limited, and I'm on a nationwide search. I'm also cheap, so that's probably a bad combination, but I've decided that if the market has priced them out of the range I am looking, I'll just go buy a new F350 and be sad about losing the interior room. If anyone can offer any advice or could provide an OASIS report, I would be grateful. If someone does get it, I will PM or otherwise arrange to get them my email address, but I don't want to put it out there until then so any spambots don't see it. THanks very much.
Austin
