Buddies 08 is smoking blueish white smoke when he is in the throttle. Truck has a Spartan Phalanx with a DPF delete and he is currently running the 40hp tune. He says he will punch it and rpms and boost will go up and will blow black then it will sputter and he looks at the mirror and its puffing blueish white. Anyone have any thoughts? Has 27k miles on it.

Sounds to me like you have a sensor acting up. Either an oxygen sensor or one of the EGT sensors.
From what I have read you have to be very careful with the sensors when you delete the DPF and many folks seem to get new ones just to be sure that they are working correctly.
The "jittery" motor combined with a little smoke can be linked to rain/humidity too.
Interesting guys, thanks. I will be doing fuel filters tomorrrow and go from there. Not saying one couldnt have gone bad, but he has been DPFless for about 8 months now. He was running the 175 tune but didnt like the way the tranny was acting so he thought he would play it safe and bump the tune down.
Got to messing around under the hood yesterday afternoon trying to determine what could be causing this issue. Wanting to make sure everything was nice and tight, I checked all the caps for all the fluids under the hood. Went to check the coolant cap on the fuel cooler and it was very loose. Tightened it up and took the truck out to see the results. No more issues seem to be occurring as of this morning with it blowing the blueish-gray smoke and sputtering. It was raining and also very humid yesterday so hopefully it wasn't the intercooler in the rain ordeal yall mentioned before. So maybe the fix for this little issue was the cap not being tight. Keeping our fingers crossed! Thanks for the replies.
