Hello DOLLY!!

OK; I've got a '77 Monarch that I've been stripping for a T-bucket. Problem is, I haven't got the engine/tranny/rear out of it yet and I'm moving. The car doesn't run, and even if it did I already took the fuse block, wiring harness, and the steering column. With a column shifter for the C4, I can't put it in Neutral.

How do I tow this car?!

I think a lot slower than I work, so, by the time I realize it's not a good idea, I'm already done!

Hello DOLLY!!

Ha! Well since you already figured out the 'dolly' thing, my suggenstion is if it's a complete HULK, get a tilt bed tow. They can winch the wreakage on! ;-)

BTW: I had a '76 Grenada, same as your Merc. Had a 351w and I don't know what axle, but it ran like a raped ape.

Hello DOLLY!!

I still need to rob the car of some more parts though! How am I going to finish my T-bucket without any parts? You mean I actually have to buy some stuff?! OMG!

Hello DOLLY!!

I recently rented a U-Haul dolly to move a pick up a rolling chassis I bought that was 500 miles away. A one way dolly cost about 4 times what I ended up paying for a 2 day local rental. Check U-Haul's web site for rates and local dealers. I think they are only about $35 a day. I was able to roll the chassis onto the dolly by myself because of the tip feature, and it towed good at 70 mph behind my F-Series. When it was empty, I had to slow down a little at rail road tracks to keep it from going airborne.
