i was under the impression that if you put the 4" blocks in the rear you would need different shocks???
All this mis information about blocks in this thread really scares me. For one you CAN NOT cut ANY lift block in the world in half and use them. For two, lift blocks have pins in the top and holes in the bottom. The hole in the bottom is for axle locating pin and the one in the top acts as the new pin for the axle. These pins must be the right size (diameter and length) for the vehicle (some may be upside down from this). You CAN stack blocks, but its not a good idea.
thats why I bought the readylift kit , bought iton e-bay even best offer,139 shipped to maine a lot easier than guessing what part number to get or stacking blocks or loosing your bumpstop,I don't think the rear shocks travel enough to need to be replaced

hmmm. just seems that if your lifting it the extra 2 inches you would need the same with the shock so its not over extended. must be when its sitting in the stock location it is all ready compressed over 2 inches. i see the front kit from ready lift comes with the shock extensions.
the front must move a little more, the shocks for a 350 and a 250 are the same prob made in the middle, i have been driving the truck for a while with no problems at all looks great, ready lift keeps all the guess work out of it blocks look just like the factory ones so getting a sticker isnt a problem, and i dont have any wheel hop witch is ***. with taller blocks also they have the propper angle so you dont get any bad vibes!
I am trying to raise the rear of my truck 1 - 2". Wondering if there is a place/website to buy some lift blocks that will accomplish that.
You may want to look at TSB 07-7-2. This TSB is titled "Rear of vehicle is too high / low - 5th wheel and goose neck applications - 4x4 vehicles only". If you can't find the TSB let me know and I can send you a PDF file of the TSB. It tells you how to raise the rear of your truck by replacing the 2" block with the 4" block. I reciently did just the opposite and lowered the rear of my F-350 by replacing the 4" blocks with the 2" ones. I ordered the parts from FTE Parts Guy and he was great to work with.

thanks for the info..got me some readylift 4" blocks ordered. i got the bilstein bts kit for the front which raises the front 2.25" in order to use the 5100 series shock. now with this ready lift block kit it should put me back to factory rake. Thanks everyone for the help and info!! Greatly appreciated!
I went with the 350 blocks in the rear with Bilsteins 5100's for up to 2" lift. I did similar to the ready lift 2.5" in front but instead of the shock extensions went with the 5100's in front as well.
One thing you may want to inquire about with the ready lift 4" block is the short bed and long bed use different blocks. The long bed blocks are even with the short bed being tappered.
You should never re-use any rear spring u-bolt. They stretch and shouldn't be re-used. Will they work? yes but not good practice. Their about $13 bucks apiece for new.
You can get any size block you want. I have 1" blocks right now. But I've had Factory F250 blocks (2"), Factory F350 blocks (3 5/8"), 4" Donahoe Racing and 5" Donahoe Racing.
