Adjustable Trac Bar Question
I lifted my superduty awhile back and it changed the steering wheel's angle quite a bit and has been starting to annoy me lately. I have tried adjusting the (drag link?) center section of the bar that connects to the pitman arm and was told that adjusting this would adjust the steering. WELL, can't get the center part to budge. PB Blaster, torch, extreme yanking on it, still won't budge. Is this part maxed out because of my lift? Am I going to need to get a adjustable trac bar or should the stock on work with my 6" lift?
Also anyone know where to get the driveshaft shims?

A secret to adjust the drag link is to loosen both adjuster clamps then take a chisel and drive it into the slot on the adjuster between the rod ends. It will expand the adjuster enought to turn easy and you can actually use the chisel to turn it. Center your steering wheel , pull the chisel out and tighten the adjuster clamps and your done.

Try that first. The track bar is method to locate the axle. The leaf springs hold the axle in place in only the front to back movement, the axle can shift left to right. The track bar, when the truck is at it's ride height, holds the axle in place left to right. Of course when the suspension extends or collapses, this location changes slightly.
The tie rod sleeve sets the distance where the tires get pushed to pitman arm. This really the only place to adjust the wheel.
