I have been reading up as much as possible on my new truck

I'm not new to trucks or powerstrokes ...just the idea of doing more to them then scheduled oil changes and such

Welcome to the 7.3L diesel forum!! Nice trucks, man!! You have an "Extended Cab" not a "Crew Cab". Crew Cab has four full doors.

I thought extended cabs were no rear doors... and the 4 full doors was a super crew?

In the SD series you have reg cab(2 full front doors), ext cab(2 full front and 2 suicides), and the crew cab(4 full doors).

My folks own a 2002 F150 Super crew that has 4 full doors...I think that term is only for the F150 series...

In case you don't have time to memorize the list Rick linked to, don't be shy about jumping in on a thread that your reading ans asking what something stands for. It's the abbreviations people use in text messages that still confuse me on here. I still have to ask what some of those are when I see a new one.

AIH- air intake heater. Worthless.
DRW- dual rear wheel
HPOP- high pressure oil pump
"SWASH" isn't an acronym, it refers to the HPOP, which is a swash plate pump. I can't explain what a swash plate pump is or how it works so someone else can do that
Edit- dammit Chris beat me to it.
