There are better deals out there. I got mine from ebay brand new (removed from new truck) for $130.00 with the shipping this was console and brackets.... look up this seller i2drivehard he has 2 more on there right now buy it now for $100.00 plus shipping of $30.00
Ok, so I got motivated today and removed my console and it opens the interior nicely. Easy access to the rear seat and floor. The floor under the console has a hump in the middle but does not stick up above the brackets. So I left the brackets in and I am going to cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to fit down there and use the holes in the bracket to secure the wood. Then get a piece of carpet to cover it. So far I think I will like this better. I'll know in a few days.
I found a new 2008/2009 console on eBay for $149.00 plus $23.89 shipping but it doesn't come with the front and rear brackets. The brackets are $35.69 and $46.18 respectively (not including shipping). That's a minimum total cost of $254.76.
Is this a deal?
You can find a dozen or so 08/09 center consoles on eBay, averaging around $170-190 including brackets and shipping (Typically 120-150 for the console and 40-50 shipping). The price you quoted is from the one guy who sells them without the brackets to keep the shipping cost down.
I've been looking at the consoles and drooling, but I just haven't quite manged to pry open my wallet yet.
Thanks for the feedback guys... I have a bench seat in my F350 XL regular cab and kind of hate the idea of losing the 3rd seating capability by installing the console. However, I do want better seating and found this aftermarket seat last night. It has good storage, leather covers, and looks really comfortable.
