Shockwarehouse.com

at almost 50K miles my F250 shocks are about shot. so I just ordered some new Bilstein's from www.shockwarehouse.com tonight, it was buy 3 get one free, 200 bucks and some change for 4 Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks (the yellow ones). So whenever they come in Ill see how much of a diff. they make on my truck, height wise, and decide whether or not im going to get that Skyjacker 1" Coil spacer, My truck has Snow Plow Springs thats why im going with a 1". Im getting really close to needing new tires and im looking to go with 35x12.50R18 Cooper Discoverer STT's on my stock wheels. I know that tire will fit stock setup(seen it in person) but I dont want the tire to look like its stuffed in the wheel well. So around next week I should have them, ill keep an update.

Also throwing around the idea of getting my wheels PC'd black, tell me what you guys think...

Later...

heres what it looks like now...275/70R18 Conti's (33x11)

Good deal on the shocks. I have a 08 and really should purchase a pair at that price. I am not a fan of black wheels, however I have seen polished wheels with a black bead lock and thought they looked cool. I think you will be happy with the coopers - I got close to 50,000 out of a set a few years back. It was alot more miles than I got from my bf goodrich's. Keep us posted - I would like to see the pics with the 1" kit.

The shocks won't make any difference to ride height. The gas charge is not that stiff. You can easily push them in by hand. In fact, you'll have to to install them.

I just went to the site to take advantage of this deal, and when used the back button to leave the site, I was offered a promo code called ISTAYED for an additional 10% off!!!

Needless to say I bought 4 Bilsteins for my truck, used the buy 3 get 1 free promo, and then entered in my ISTAYED discount code at checkout combined with the free shipping they are doing... my total bill was $194.20!!!! A complete set of Bilsteins SHIPPED for less that 200 bucks! Awesome deal! I owe you a sixxer of Miller High Lifes Robs06SuperDuty!!!!

I ordered my 5100 Bilsteins on the 19th of this month and have not yet received them (from shock warehouse) I inquired with them and they are comming out of California not Florida.
They told me they are back logged because of the 4 for 3 deal. Although my 5100's were not part of the deal they said it is still causing delays. They told me they would inquire if they have yet shipped (from California) and they would call me back. That was this morning and haven't yet received the call. Those of you who are waiting may have to wait awhile. This is my 8th day since order confirmed.

Yeah... Dave67FD... if you check on summitracing.com you will see that they (summit) are backordered until 4-19-09. So I would assume that shockwarehouse are on the same backorder.

Looks like a bunch of folks took advantage of that deal!!! LOL!!!! I ended up saving about 75-100 bucks so if they take a few weeks to get here thats fine with me.

Besides, you always have 30 days to call your credit card company and dispute the claim if you need to.

damn I wish I would've known about that code, I paid 204.XX you make that a 6 pack of Bud Light and you got yourself a deal!!!

I know the shocks wont make a lot of height difference, like I said im gonna see how much of a diff the shocks are gonna make and see how nose low the front is, then im gonna go with the 1" spacer, I absolutly HATE the low nose rake on trucks. when I bought the truck(bought it new) the front was a little higher than the rear and thats how I want it to be.

Boo_Daddy: what size tires do you have on your truck?

leave ur rims they way they are...

they look sharp already.. having em PC'd black will take away from their overal visual design i think..

make it harder to see all the machined edges/lines...

Are you sure that wasn't 5% off? That's what their standard discount is, and the $195 matches the 5% discount I got.

By the way, shockwarehouse is a sponsor here at FTE. Our FTE discount code is Ford5

I got my shocks today, it was a rainy day and I had nothing going on so I decided to put them on. Man the ride quality is sooooooo much better! The front of my truck is about 1" lower than the front so Im gonna go ahead and order the 1" Coil Spacer tonight or tomrrow night. then Im gonna try out my buddys 35" Toyo MT's on my truck (he may be selling his rims/tires) so if im pleased on how they fit I may buy them.

I got mine Today (sat). I am gonna try and throw them on this weekend sometime. The job looks fairly simple to do.

Robs06SuperDuty, how long did it take ya to do your install? Oh, and which way did you put them on? Does the boot go on the top or the bottom? The instructions from Bilstein kinda sucks.. LOL.
