I had a great weekend working on the truck. I switched from Valvoline 5W40 to Schaeffers 9000, lubed the front end parts that actually have a zerc (sp) fitting.
The previous weekend I spent painting my 4" MBRP exhaut in preperation of that install.
Then this Sunday I installed it with the help of a friend. Here are a couple pics of the "tail end".
A couple weeks ago I washed the engine compartment.
Before:
And after a wash and some tire shine!
All in all pretty productive considering the weather can be pretty crappy. Oh, and i flushed out the old power steering fluid with new Mobil 1 synthetic.
Yes I absolutely love it. A little bit of a deeper bass sound in the cab but not much. Definitely not obnoxious. I spent a bit of time driving around with the back window down listening. It sounds really cool! Lots of extra whistle. I cannot wait to pick up a Wicked Wheel this summer.

Just a thought, that tip is gonna get pretty banged up from rocks being so low right behind the tire.
When I installed the 5" straight pipe, it was -10 to -15 below, I think I drove around for almost a week with the PS rear window down. I still crank the rear window down if I'm driving by myself, I love that whistle.
