How do you remove the cigarette sized storage bin next to the upfitter switches? I see that there are two tabs at the top (inside) but I can't get the bin to come out.
You have to really squeeze it hard. The spring catches are at the top and it's hard to get your fingers on them. But just squeezing the whole thing will work. The right side has to come out first because it overlaps the left side a little bit.

Ok, I'll put a little more "mojo" to it this weekend.
BTW, is it possible to put two sets of upfitters side-by-side and eliminate the mini storage bin? I was wanting to do the F650 center dash panel conversion but I have manual hubs (no ESOF) and the floor 4x4 gear selector will be in the way of the lower portion of the F650 dash panel.

Thanks!
Anything is possible I suppose, but the Ford parts won't work. You would have to start by making your own bezel shaped for the right side, or maybe you could take it apart and flip it upside down. Then you would have to work out relays and power source. No doubt it can be done, because guys with pre-05 trucks have figured out how to do it. I would say there are easier ways to get switches though. Check out beerstalkers gallery to see what he did on his previous truck.

Yeah, that what I was planning... take the upfitter assembly apart and flip the front plate. I measured the width of the upfitter assembly and the storage bin and they are 4" each. I guess that I could connect the 2nd upfitter assembly to a a power block in the engine compartment. I'm just trying to research the idea because I have limited electrical knowledge.
