Thanks. What I am trying to do is wire some PIAA fog lamps to an upfitter switch and wondered if this could be done totally in the engine compartment. Or would I have to pass the power wire through the firewall to connect to the upfitter wire.
The problem with the pass-thru wires, is they are only big enough for the 10A upfitters. Ford should have given us two 16ga, and two 12 gauge, but they didn't. Your lights probably draw too much current to use those wires.

Could always use the supplied relay and then the wire won't be a factor.
Wire from upfitter switch (firewall feedthru) will turn on your relay (coil). You don't have to fuse this point but make sure your wiring from the lights to the battery (or convienient source with adequate current capability) is large enough, 12 awg or better and that this point is fused.
Maybe someone who knows about the specific PIAA product can help. I don't know their product.
Is there a relay included? How many amps do the pair of lights draw?
Your upfitter #1 and 2 are 30 amp, and #3 and 4 are 10 amp. The wires that pass through the firewall are only heavy enough for the 10 amp switch. The 10 amp switch is all you will need, IF you are using a relay. But their instructions do not sound like a relay, because it would need a current source other than the upfitter switch.
How do you remove the cigarette sized storage bin next to the upfitter switches? I see that there are two tabs at the top (inside) but I can't get the bin to come out.
