I bought an 88 4x4 custom with an inline6 and about 60000 miles on her i want to turn her into a reliable trail/mudder but still drive the city every now and then. I just put in new universal joints and slapped on a set of 33" super swampers, i was wondering if anyone had tips to toughen her up a little!
stick with the motor you have. its an awesome wheeler motor and DD motor as well. I would question the miles since that odom doesnt display 6 dig figures only 5.
Gears should be your first step since your running those larger, heavier swampers
Is your I6 Efi or carb?
im actually from Canada so the odometer just hit 120000 kilometers i was just guestimating thats close or a lil more than 60000 miles, and lets say i wanted to run 35" swampers what kind of gears you recommend? oh by the way my I6 is Efi and thank you for replying.
