After wasting time and money at the dealer I STFA here, and concensus was a piston sticking in the caliper. Tore the caliper off, and imagine that, one piston stuck real good. And the dealer said there was no problem, it's OK for the rotor to get hot (I kept saying it's hotter than the other side!). Put on a rebuilt caliper from NAPA in 5 mins, another 5 to gravity bleed (more info from the forum) and it's FIXED! No more smell of brakes following me everywhere. Thanks FTE!!
Funny - all the information I read when researching the problem said it was passenger side, and that's what mine was. Theory being that stones, rain and crap is thrown up more on that side.
