I find it interesting the comment by Jsimon about wanting clean air and water... do you honestly think it was individuals that caused the problem that we are in, with contaminated soil and air? The corporations, in collusion with the governments have been raping the environment for decades without remorse and now they see an opportunity to levy a tax on us that the corporation will be exempt from. I find it highly suspect that the biggest political proponent of global warming/environmental change, Al Gore, has a stake in a company that sells carbon credits to big corporations.

Bottom line, we have been duped and suckered for 'their' purposes for centuries and only now are we beginning to see the veil lifted to expose the ugly machine behind the lie.

Seek the Lord, love your family and buckle up, cause things are gonna get far worse than anyone has ever seen.

This was cool for a short term exchanging of ideas, but even the Mrs. just told me as I read her some of the string that we need to get back to talking about are other loves (the Xs). So, hopefully the moderators will put this string to bed 9:30 pm (west coast time....unless were all doing it the same time?). Good Night Folks :-)

I disagree, Mons.; I think you are missing the point of the problem that everyone has something to say about the effects, but no-one is willing to consider the cause. We have PLENTY of energy. We have TWO DAMN MANY PEOPLE ! As I noted earlier, dosnt matter WHAT happens to our Excursions and my airplane and yacht. Junk em all, and at the rate the planet is breeding more people, we are still going to have a mess on our hands.

There is no way to break the laws of physics. You want to move mass, you have to have energy. I have yet to see an envioro whacko who had a CLUE about basic physics and chemistry, and the fact that all those new people are going to want to move around. That is going to take energy and "there aint no free lunch". THAT's the real problem. That's what pi$$es ME off about the enviorn. whackos. Coming after us with our EX's and our neato toys gives them an excuse to avoid the real issue.

Monst. - you keep claiming "global warming is a hoax". I just flew back from a trip that included our Glacier National Park. We landed and rented a car. I stood in a beautiful grassy valley that was under an ice sheet only a hundred years ago.

DOSNT MATTER who is causing what kind of climate change. Our climate is changing. Growing zones are moving around the planet. Sea levels may be rising. But suppose they arent? Dosnt matter. The CHANGE in climate will cause disruptions in social organization and food supply. A "mini ice age" like Europe and our own continent that came on suddenly, and stayed for a couple hundred years, happened during the middle ages. that would make ALL the arguments by both sides today, utterly irrelevant.

So again - I suggest we dont do what the enviornmental whackos are doing, which is to put their heads in the sand, ignore the problem, and pick on some irrelevant energy-users like us with our EX's and the "toys" we tow around with them.

I agree with JumpinJoe. This is the wrong forum for this...but!... ... gotta say my piece to 6686L.

6686L,

~Malthusianism is a false premise. If you took ALL the people in the world, let's say 6.5 Billion, and stood them side by side, front to back so that each person occupied about 2 square feet that would be about 13 billion square feet.

Put that in acres and 298,439 acres would hold every person on the planet.

King's Ranch in Kingsville, Texas is 825,000 acres.

Los Angeles, CA is 300K+ acres.

We don't have a population problem.

~ Global Warming is presented as a man-made phenomena. While I do not like air pollution or waste of any kind, I belive that premise to be false and also believe that as soon as money came involved (carbon tax credits etc.) it become a total scam.

So the climate is changing. And?... Since it is caused by the sun, there's not a whole lot I can do about it...last I checked.

Did anyone know that the V10 Excursion is officially labeled as a low-emissions vehicle for its class.

Joe, just FYI, these are called threads, not strings. And the individual entries are called posts.

Humans produce 2-3% od CO2 "pollution" on this planet. If we all stopped doing all these "bad" polluting things we would have VERY little to NO effect on the planet.

Enviro-****'s have people believing that we are destroying the planet and "global warming" is gonna kill us all soon. Yet the last few years the average world temperature has DROPPED.

It's all hippie BS and the government backs it as it has made them money, and has gotten them some votes. The head of nasa, and the guy that started the weatehr channel before its takeover are big advocates of the BS that is global warming and all the "green" BS that goes along with it.

My brother is partly one of these crazies and the other week told me that all the pollution humans caused is what has caused "global warming" but we cnat just stop polluting because all the particles in the air from the pollution is reflecting so much sunlight, that if we stopped now and the particles settled, within a week the whole planet would overheat and we would all die!!!!

This is the kind of idiotic BS these people spew. It makes me sick and makes the fact I drive a V10 excursion around by myself, towing nothing, day in and day out just because I can and cause I want to that much better.

Its nice to see that people here have a clue about all this nonsense. Where I live, you would be chopped up if you said anything truthful.

I agree, global warming, climate change, etc. etc. is happening but as many on here seem to know already, putting humans at fault for this is wrong.

We as humans have only been monitoring weather and climate for a few hundred years. The Earth is what, a few BILLION years old. We have not been monitoring the climate near long enough to adequately determine that the globe is warming, and taking it one step farther, that WE are to blame for the current climate change.

Earth goes through natural cycles and as history has shown, earth's climate changes all the time. As I said in my last paragraph, we're living in an extremely small slice of the Earth's age so we're simply in the middle of one these natural cycles.

The so called "envrio whackos" seem to be only focusing on just this thin slice of time when they should pan-out and look at the big picture of earth's climate.

I don't think 6686L is talking about a space problem.

And, OMG you mentioned my town.

If anything, that proves that earth has natural cycles and that we have not had enough time to say we are to blame for climate change.
