My point exactly. If those slightly weaker engines can hold OD with 3.73s the 3v should have no trouble doing so in the same rpm range.

Exactly. The whole discussion is kinda pointless until ALL the ratios are known. FWIW, my motorcycle has two overdrive ratios. 4th & 5th, .96 .74 respectively. It's gas powered.

Yeah, with a 5:1 (or even lower) final drive ratio

So, has this swap ever been done? Aside from the electrical differences, what are the physical differences? Linkage and steering column different?
I have a 2000 V10 Excursion and am thinking about a Cummins engine swap using the Torqueshift trans.

Contact "5.9Excursion" at dieseltruckresource.com. Besides, that web site works better than this one. And, there's more tech. See this thread. The electronics that he deals with doesn't start until 9 or 10 pages into the thread.

Yeah, OK Big deal. He asked a question about a cummings swap into an Excursion and I provided a link. And, the guy who did the swap in the referenced thread is an Electronics Engineer who figured out everything on his own.

Would it have been better if I didn't provide possibly helpful information?

The only problem is that most everytime I visit FTE, I get "server too busy" or "Error, the file you have requested can't be found." So, if there is tech, doing a search would take too long because of the server errors.

So, I don't bother with this site often. That's just an observation, so don't shoot the messenger. Heck, I had 4 server errors or "blank pages" just trying to post this reply.

If someone else wants to post a link to the the same thread on FTE, then post it.

I'm on this thing all day, EVERY day. I never get errors or blank pages.

I suggest you either open a service ticket, OR - something is wrong with your PC.

Hopefully, you earn money being on here so often.
I have the same problems on three different computers (all three running different OS's), and each one has the same problems no matter where I'm connected in the world. Also, it's the only forum that has the same consistent problems. Don't take this wrong, but not visiting it much is the easiest solution. Yet, every now and then, I check on stuff or post an answer. And the problems are consistent but just on this site.
