Need part # off of the pump.
Can anyone check their spare pumps.
Looking for the front seal part #.
The # is molded into the rubber of the seal.
Or a replacement seal # would be great.
So far i have these.
71-01-076-001, 5M-14878. (on a oem pump)
100 9/10 1017 (bosch reman pump)
Sorry Bill no more spares. They went into Termy on trade for my Scanguage. Only spare I have is still installed on the spare motor. Let me know if you still need the info in a few days I could pull it off easily.
On your mark, get ready. Go Go Go!!!
Your being timed. Time is with the install complete!

Its not all that important. If you come across it or pull it for some other
reason than get the #

It's the one you don't see when it's installed on the engine...right?
Correct. The front shaft seal. Its where the drive gear bolts to the shaft.
The #s can be very small on the seal (reman)
I want to completely reseal a used pump. The o-rings are not a problem.
Having trouble finding the front seal. Some have part #'s, but I cannot
cross the # to anything.
Seems that they do not want you to know.
I just have to keep digging.
Bill it seems I had the same issue when I was looking at doing my own inline BO. I torn the pump down and couldn't cross the number. I could not get the seal out without wrecking it. That was one of the pumps I sent to TE though.

I hear ya Tj.
Would be nice if you could get a reseal kit.
Joey knows what seal is in it. Just donot know
if he wants to up the info. He could sell a pump reseal in
kit form.
MadVan, when we have to have a replacement seal on a tractor or combine and the numbers gone we;
1: measure the shaft, seating depth, and housing diameter or
2: take the part with us to our local NAPA and they mic the above dimension and then look up a seal with those dimensions.
So have you tryed that route? If you have the dimensions but nobody can match it, pm or post the dimensions and I'll see if my NAPA guy and find a match for you.
Bill, I looked under a magnifine glass and could not see a #. I tugged on the seal some and it didn't move so I didn't want to mess it up. I'll pull harder if you think it will just come out without any problems.
When I found the number on the reman I found it inside of a groove and had to use a jewelers loop to first ID it as a number then had to use a flashlight at different angles to read the number.
I was amazed that they can mold a number that small.

Its in the works. Need to get all my ducks in a row.
(IE: oil, rpm, heat, pressure, single/double lip ect).
It looks to be a 1.5 shaft X 2.00 od x .250 wide seal.
Full encased seal.
