I think you guys must have missed this the last time it went around. Too bad it wasn't too long ago.
I'm not exactly sure what differences there were between the Bonus Built Flat Beds and the Effie Flatbeds - if any - I would doubt there are many.
Bob Jones (Bobj49f2) has done a lot of research on the flatbeds as well, and actually published plans for one here on FTE.
Also, if you look in my new galleries (or on Bob's web site) you will see all the Salesmans Handbook Drawings, Spec Sheets, and Descriptions for every Flat/stake bed from F1 thru F6 including COE. Look in the "Salemans Handbook Scans" gallery.
Here are links to two of Bobs threads on Flatbeds - he's the guy in the know -as usual.
You may want to click on his name and go to "List all threads started by Bobj49f2" to see if there are more. These are just in the last month.
Julie, I haven't had a chance to update my flat page yet with the information that you sent me. I just thought I'd drop in so it would be easier for someone to click on my web site, the address is in my signature.

I took measurements off of the bed that Glockem45 is getting. I'll try to do a drawing later today, if I get a chance and post them. Only the beds from the F1 and F-2/3 beds had wooden uprights. The larger trucks' bed have metal.

That would be cool Bob, as drawings for my brother to do the wood work would certainly help him.
I am getting a 6.5 which should have had the wood. Thanks for creating the drawings in advance.
Yes it should.
Just to put 2 and 2 together from what I read in the Salesmans Handbook as I was making copies, is that there were 4 different lengths of Stake Beds: a 6 1/2 ft; 7 1/2 ft; 9 ft; and 12 ft.
The 6 1/2 ft and 7 1/2 foot beds had wood uprights.
The 9 ft and 12 ft had metal uprights.
The 6 1/2 ft was exclusive to the F1 as it carried no other bed and no other trucks carried the 6 1/2 foot bed.
The 7 1/2 ft beds were carried on the F2 and F3 only, and no other beds were carried by either of them.
The 9 ft bed was carried on the F4 and F5. The F4 carried only the 9 ft bed.
The 12 foot bed was carried only on the F5 which carried either the 9 or 12 ft bed.
Does anyone have a drawing of the wood stakes? They look tapered.
Just the uprights on the two back panels are tapered and have some fancy routering. The side and front uprights are just plain wood, close to a 2X4 in dimensions.

I thought they all were tapered and have the fancy routering like this picture:
