worn steering column
My dad has a 96 F250 and the steering column has worn out the bushings for the 2nd time, it only has 98k The 1st repair did not last long at all. It is a tilt column. Is it worth repairing again or will it fail soon? Dealer did it the first time, is there anything to look for if I would tear into it? Junk yard guy says he sells alot of Ford columns and gets lots of calls for them. Did the non-tilt columns have the same problem? My 96 has 148k with no problems and is non-tilt. I have been unable to find any good used ones.
