SGnAZ,
Yes I was very happy with his work and he was reasonably priced. My tranny went out on a tuesday and he had me back up and running by friday morning with a basically new tarnny built for towing and a triple disc converter. I used to tow with this truck daily (about 8k) and have put over 120k on the tranny since the rebuild. It now only gets used to pull the dump trailer (about 14k) for jobs but still is going strong.
Thank you very much for the info.
I will keep his shop on file for future reference.
I believe that ALL 4R100s will have the correct one. The easiest way is to make sure that the embossed part number has F6TZ in it. I've had "wrong" valve bodys returned to me as cores and I now check the part number on all of them to make sure it's correct before refunding the core charge.
To add to the folks that are NOT sending there cores back will affect anyone down the road. I have talked John on the phone and he basicly said that he is trying to keep prices down and has not got burned yet by cusomters not returning the cores, but anybody knows if certain people dont do the respectable thing then that trickle down effect puts ripples in the water, which isn't fair to others doing the right thing.
(sounds a little political I know, but truth be told)
cause when push comes to My tranny going out. I want to be able to purchase with out any problems. I mean really w.t.h will I do with my old tranny if the new one is tearing up the roads. it aint no paper weight.
