Repaired stainless trim.

These are the same pieces after they were repaired. Got them back today. They look like new pieces.

Who did the work and what was the rate?

I got stainless steel trim that needs to be restored on my 56 fairlane but no local place repolishes stainless steel trim. They just slap a layer of chrome plating over it and thats it at this one trim shop.

Man, those are beautiful! I'm always amazed at how good those guys can make old stainless look. A guy in town here did the stuff on my car, and although he was a pain to work with (always late, and a million excuses) he makes it look beautiful. I've seen him in the afternoons and his face is almost black with the dust. Happy as a clam though. Lol...slim

Looks good. I done some stainless straightening and polishing, it's very time consuming and dirty.

Very nice work...shops around here charge by the inch and that's after the straightening has been completed. Looks like money well-spent on your trim.

I sent them to a man in Colorado and he charged $45.00 apiece to do them. I first thought that was a little high until I tried to find better looking ones. All I found on ebay would cost me that much and would still need to be repaired and polished. We can do some repair and polishing but these needed a professional because they were pretty bad. I think they are worth what he charged. If you need his name I will be glad to post it. I sent pictures before and he gave me an approx est.

I have info for a guy in Fresno, CA that does trim for about $10-15/foot if it's not too bad.

If anyone is interested, PM me for info.

Mine has some small dimples but I was thinking about leaving them as is since the car is going to be drove alot its just the stainless I cant get the polish out like that.

Not that good of a photo but you can see light scratches all over it and its shine is only as good as your pieces in the dark. In the sun they would show dark spots and not be as good.

Theres a local place that says they can do stainless steel but their a chrome shop. I was going to see if they can do a triple plate chrome on the frontand back bumpers as well as the grill and hood bird and all other chrome pieces if it would be cheaper than buying new.
