I've been "buffing" my stainless trim too, when weather is too cold for garage. I know I could get after market pieces but I decided to bend the originals back to form. I made a tool to do the grill. Mine aren't perfect ; I shined up the grill bars today. They show the history of the truck.

What are you using to repolish your stainless steel trim?
Mine dont really need to be straighten (slight dents ere and there but nothing real bad) just needs to be refinished basically. Theres small dark spots from sitting 20 years without being polished but it has a shine though just not a like new shine.
Mothers polish and a power ball should work too...
Would it remove dark spots that seems to be in the trim? Min arent dull they have ashine but they have theses spots in them that just wont come out with dedicated stainless steel polish.
I know this one chrome shop locally that I was thinking of rechroming the chrome pieces on mine can do stainless steel but I have heard from others alot of these places that do chrome work that also does stainless steel actually just put a layer of chrome plating over it.
