door panel clips

Hey Guys, I am wondering if anyone would happen to know the part number for the nylon clips that hold the door panels onto the door? Or, does anyone have an idea where to get them? Thanks

I don't know the exact part number but I just took one into my local Ford/Mustang Performance shop and they found them in a catalog they order from. Only a buck or two each.

Look for a auto trim supplier in your area. I get the clips and plastic revits for a lot of cars and trucks and pay about 5 to 6 bucks for a box of 25 or so.

I saw a bunch of different styles of them at Pep Boys in the Help! section. Check ebay too.

I have the metal style clips on my panels-unfortunately the the plastic section on the door panel that HOLDS the metal clip is broken on many spots. I guess epoxy might work.

If my door came with the metal clips, can I swap those out for the plastic clips?

I hated those metal style clips. The plastic ones available at all the parts store mentioned are much better at retaining the panel TIGHT against the door.

Yeah, I don't like the sheet metal screw look either. If your panels are that bad, at least get a decorative screw cover in the same color. You could get these and paint to match.
