got the edge box last week for my 7.3 hooked it up put it on level 4 (top setting) and feel no power gains and no smoke wondering if i had a bad box or if thats all the power and smoke that will come with the edge box

 

We were discussing this recently, I have one of these too and these guys said its basically a fancy version of the 10K mods. I put mine on the highest level and I cant tell if its doing anything either. So based on the theory of the 10k mods and what I read it seems some trucks do better at certain levels 14.7K etc. than others so Im trying it at each of the different levels to see if there is a more noticable difference. Luckily I got mine from a friend when he sold his truck before shipping out, so Im not out any $ if it doesnt make a difference. If you can make it do anything let me know Id like to know what you did. My only other theory is that it works on a bone stock motor and that any other mods are masking its effects, so much that they wouldnt be noticable w/o a dyno.

 

my motor is pretty much bone stock other then a intake and the edge box. i red that we can only get 60hp tops with stock injectors and turbo. but i would have not spent close to 300 bucks on the edge box if i had known that my truck would only be a tiny bit more powerful. before i got the box everyone seamed to like edge products. thats what made me get that instead of the bullydog or dp tunner chip. i will mess with the box tomarrow and see if i can switch up the pins inside and make any noticable hp difference...

 

Mine isnt stock, but I recently got rid of my Edge evolution programmer, had too many problems when I was changing settings. However I could still feel a moderate change however minimal when I had it on the lowest setting of 60 HP so Ive been surprised too at not really noticing any response from this and am concidering contacting edge. Other than they take forever to answer the phone they do a decent job of trying to trouble shoot there stuff. Maybe they can tell us something helpful.

 

Guys, I have had the Edge for several years now, (However I want to go to TW), that aside, I definitely see a very large difference in Extreme mode over stock and decent power in tow mode. By far better than stock!

 

Thats with the evolution this is a different box, after playing w/ it Id say I feel a little more power/ response in level 3 than 4. No additional smoke though.
