Ive been comparing the new super duties between Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet and why is it that Ford has the lowest towing capacitys even though they have the most torque. Ford is loosing by like 3-4000 lbs.
So buy a Dodge and get use to replacing the transmission every other week, and pray that the brakes work. Or, you could buy a C y but you'll have to buy a second vehicle to drive behind it to pick up the pieces that will be falling off your quality built G M product as it rolls down the road.
90% of the trucks I seee going into the bush are fords,
one reason, cause they don't break. Ever seen an axle come
out of a dodge while cruising down the highway? Ever here
of chevys frame problem?they are know to snap if you exceed the
limit since they stretch the ratings so far.
Numbers are easy to manipulate to your favor, it's real world experience that counts. Also, Dodge and Chevy have both just updated and Ford hasn't since '98 I believe when the Super Duty was released. I'd look for Ford to up the numbers when they make some more changes. One other note, it isn't just how much torque you have to get it going, but how well you can stop it also, and other things such as frame and springs and axles. I would still rather drive a Ford.
