That's exactly what I did in my garage several years ago, lined the front and the sides with shelves that are the perfect size for large rubbermaid tubs!!!
But the rest of the garage still fills up also.

I've got some of that shelving up in my garage already and would like to have more. Spent this weekend working on lighting and relocating my garage opener wiring some I could insulate the ceiling and hang wallboard. Wish I would have done it before I filled the garage up with projects.
